  * Charismatic Gathering - Catholic Charismatics in Saskatoon and Saskatchewan joyfully welcome the National Service Committee of the Canadian Catholic Charismatic Renewal in mid-April as we host their first Annual Meeting in our Province in many years. To honor the Lord for all He has done, and to meet the Representatives of the NSC, we will have a Celebration of the Eucharist, and an open prayer meeting on Tuesday, April 17. We are especially grateful to St. Mary's Parish (211 Ave. O South, in Saskatoon) for the Church and the Hall for this gathering. Mass will be at 7 pm, followed by the prayer meeting at 8 pm.   * St. Kateri Tekakwitha Feast Day is celebrated on April 17 in Canada. Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Saskatoon will again hold an outdoor rosary prayer procession with the statue of St. Kateri starting at 5 p.m., Tuesday, April 17 at Guadalupe House, 426 Avenue J South, and ending at St. Mary's Upper Hall, 20th St. W. and Avenue O South. The event will continue at the hall, with supper served at 6 p.m. and a play about St. Kateri to follow at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend this event honouring St. Kateri. To assist in planning for supper, please RSVP by calling (306) 653-4945 to say how many will be attending. There is no cost, but free will offerings will be gratefully accepted. Born in upstate New York in 1656 to a Mohawk chief father and an Algonquin Christian Mother, St. Kateri died near Montreal on April 17, 1680, recognized for her piety, holiness and devotion to Jesus. She was canonized on Oct. 21, 2012, the first Indigenous woman in North America to be named a saint.

African Canadian Catholics of Saskatoon - Mass with Bishop Mark Hagemoen will be held April 15 2018 in Saskatoon at St. Michael's Parish in Saskatoon   African-Canadian Catholics of Saskatoon will host Bishop Mark Hagemoen at 3 p.m. on Sunday April 15 beginning with Mass at St. Michael's Parish, 18-33rd Street E., Saskatoon (east of Idylwyld), followed by light refreshments. This is the first, official meeting of the African-Canadian Catholics with Bishop Mark. An invitation is extended to all Catholics of African descent who are residing in Saskatoon and area (as well as all other friends across the Saskatoon diocese).

Divine Mercy Sunday - "Jesus I Trust in You!" - Join Bishop Mark Hagemoen for a Divine Mercy Sunday celebration 3 p.m., Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon. (Please note that this is not a Mass.)  The Divine Mercy devotion is centred on the mercy of God and our trust in Jesus Christ. It is a devotion that grew out of the revelations and writings of a Polish nun, Saint Faustina Kowalska (1905-1938). Divine Mercy Sunday was established in 2000 by Saint Pope John Paul II to be celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. The devotion includes a Divine Mercy prayer chaplet and reflections on the Divine Mercy image of Jesus given to Saint Faustina (“Jesus, I Trust in You”). There will be an opportunity to make a free will offering at the celebration April 8. Refreshments will follow the celebration. Everyone is welcome!

  K OF C BREAKFAST: The next Knights of Columbus Breakfast will be held on Sunday, April 8 following the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Masses at St. Mary’s Parish, 211 Avenue O South, Saskatoon, in the Lower Hall.  (The hall entrance is located on 20th Street West) Everyone is welcome! Cost is $6 for adults and children 12 and older, and $2 for children under the age of 12.
